How-To: Fall Inspired Nails

10 Oct

To do these nails you will need Sinful Colors Let’s Meet #928, Sinful Colors Big Daddy #850, Wet N Wild Wild Shine French White Creme #449C (you can use this same technique with any color or as many colors as you want!), several wedge makeup sponges, water, cotton swabs, nail polish remover, and a top coat.

Step #1) Dip the makeup sponge in the water until it is damp, but not wet (water should not be dripping off the sponge and little to no water should come out of the sponge when it is squeezed).

Step #2) Paint the sponge with the nail color in the order that you want it to appear on your nail.

Step #3) Roll the painted part of the sponge across your nail (use the same motion that you would if you were getting someones fingerprint). I have found that using a rolling motion instead of stamping it allows more nail polish to stay on your nail.

Your nails will look like a hot mess! Don’t worry! It will get on the skin around your nail but you can remove that later.

Step #4) Repeat steps #2 and #3 for each nail. You will have to do this on every nail several times until the color is the desired brightness (usually 3 times per nail depending on how opaque the nail polish is).

Step #5) Use a cotton swab and nail polish remover to remove polish off the skin around your nails. Seal with a top coat.

TAA-DAA!! Hope you like! If you try this out, comment and send me pictures!!
