Leggings Have Gained a Bad Reputation

16 Jan

Let’s face it. There are some really wrong way to wear leggings. People who believe that thin, tight-like leggings are ok to wear instead of pants have transformed leggings from a fashionable, practical, functional accessory into an item with as infamous a reputation as Snooki. Many bloggers and vloggers have talked about how horrible wearing leggings incorrectly really is (see YouTube video below), but I am here to share three simple rules on how to wear leggings without making everyone you come in contact with either blush or grimace.

How to wear leggings rule #1:

Make sure your shirt is long enough to cover your butt.

How to wear leggings rule #2:

Make sure your top covers your crotch.

This is NOT what you want to happen!

How to wear leggings rule #3:

If your dress/top is shorter, make sure your leggings are made out of a substantial fabric.

You do NOT want this to be you!

Now that we have covered those easy rules, here are a few examples of celebrities not only correctly wearing leggings but absolutely rocking this accessory.

Now, do your civic duty and share this with your friends that might be one of those responsible for contributing to leggings’ bad reputation. Thank you!
