I’m obsessed with maxi dresses. They are such a comfortable and easy summer staple. But do we really have to put them away when summer is over? Of course not! They are so easy to layer and are perfectly suited for fall weather. Here is how I transformed my solid black maxi dress into a fun outfit for fall.
I scored this maxi at Old Navy a few weeks ago for $5 (woohoo!).
I also got this tee from Old Navy for $3 (wow!). I bought it a few sizes too big so it would be slouchy.
Taddaaaa! By just simply popping that $3 tee over the dress I have a great fall outfit! Not only was this outfit incredibly cheap, but it’s also comfy and fall appropriate.
Are you still rocking your maxi dresses this fall?
I just had to share with you the beautiful sunrise that I experienced a few days ago! I love mornings!
I am so obsessed with this army jacket right now! It is a little oversized which makes it so comfy and the color goes with everything! I was somewhat skeptical at first, but it really is the perfect fall jacket. For this outfit, I just paired it with a tshirt (from Old Navy), a simple black skirt (from Maurices), booties (from Target), and a fun camo scarf (also from Maurices)!
Ike said “show the camera some love!” Lol
Now, I have to post just a few more Kyleigh pictures. I just can’t help myself.
Sometimes I have those days where all I want to do is stay in my pjs. All. Day. Long. Even though I love clothes and putting together new outfits is one of my favorite things to do, there are still times where I just want to be comfy and cozy. Luckily, I have a wonderful job that allows me to wear great fashion, express my own style, and permits cute, comfy outfits like this one!
A simple oversized sweat shirt, leopard scarf, leggings, and knee high boots kept me both comfortable and stylish for a day at work.
Leggings, sweatshirt, leggings, scarf from Maurices. Boots are Madden Girl by Steve Madden also from Maurices.
And Kyleigh because she is so darn cute! 🙂
So I’ve already done my post about the “no-white-after-Labor-Day” rule and, in an effort to practice what I preach, here is me rocking my white skinnies in October! I’m such a rebel! (haha!) I wore this outfit to work and then to a friend’s birthday dinner (happy birthday Travis!). I think the white pants work great in this fall outfit!

I just couldn’t resist sharing these pics of my cuties Keiko and Tikka. 🙂 precious huh?
I know I’ve been absent lately from the blogging world *sigh*. I’ve just been so busy and working on some other fun, fashion-y projects. From now on, though, I’m going to try and blog a little more often. Pinky promise!
Today’s post is all about an outfit I wore to work this afternoon. I love this maxi skirt! The fact that it’s long but short at the same time is fun with just a touch of sexy. Sorry the pictures aren’t the best quality. The lighting inside my house is pretty crappy at night!
Skirt and studded smoking slippers from Maurices. T-shirt, necklace, and bracelet from Old Navy.
Kyleigh is always jumping into the pictures! Today it was with bunches of kisses!
The weather here has been so unpredictable lately! One minute it is raining, the next the sun is shining; you never know what to expect. However, one thing you can expect about these crazy summer days is that it is going to be hot and humid. As a result, it is almost impossible to wear pants – even lightweight ones. In this weather, shorts and dresses are a must. I love finding fun new ways to wear shorts especially by dressing them up! And this fun neon blazer is the perfect way to add pizazz and color to these cool black an white paisley shorts while also making them a little more dressy.

If it wasn’t obvious before, it should be obvious by now that I love prints – especially floral. Today I went for floral yet again but, this time, it was in the form of these awesome pants. These pants are possibly some of the most comfortable I’ve ever worn; in fact, I really just love all Bullhead pants. They always have the perfect amount of stretch and I love the mid rise of this particular pair. I just can’t help but be super happy anytime I wear these!
